Ryanair![]() Many North Americans have no idea how cheap it can be to fly around Europe. Our flight from Stansted to Pisa, Italy cost one British Penny plus tax. To get that price, passengers should book early and get either very early or very late flights. Planes with the distinctive Ryanair tails are heading all over Europe. This photo was takenin Stansted Airport that looks as if it is a Ryanair owned airport. . . . ![]() Ryanair is doing such a good job that many passengers think twice before they fly anyone else. Now Ryanair is getting so sassy, they are painting their planes with different slogans such as Bye Bye Lufthansa or Arrivederci Alitalia. ![]() One way Ryanair keeps costs down is by servicing small airports like this one at Perugia. It is a pleasure to arrive at a small airport because in no time you are off the plane and on your way. ![]() By using steps at both doors, planes can be loaded and unloaded much more quickly. Since there is no preassigned seating passengers can sit as soon as they see an empty seat. ![]() The inside of the plane looks lik a transit bus with lots of advertising. Ryanair flies only the Boeing B738-8AS which keeps down the cost of their spare parts inventory. Their fleet consists of 165 aircraft and they have 135 more on order. . . . ![]() If the airline makes money with ads and cuts the cost of flying it can only benefit the flying public.
