Giant Pumpkin Racing

Howard Dill of
Windsor Nova Scotia was the person who developed a strain of huge
pumpkins.
Now every fall, the pumpkins are hollowed out to make boats and they
are raced from Falmouth to Windsor.

As you can see by this photo, the pumpkin
paddlers have a long distance to cover in this race.

The fastest pumpkin boat proved to be Soccer Ball. There is not a lot
of legroom in a pumpkin, even when they are big.

The second fastest paddler was Pumpkinhead!
